Yard Tour & Visit

Join us and the Biofuel Oasis crew!

Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit. Saying these words on the first day of the month is thought to bring good luck by the end of the month (Coincidentally, did you know that the gestation for rabbits is 30 days? And depending on the breed, a rabbit can produce 300 pounds of meat a year?). Rabbits are a common symbol for good luck and prosperity. And not surprising given the many gifts they can bring to the urban farmer. Small, quiet - they are the perfect compliment for an urban farm. Tour the “farm”, complete with chickens, ducks, and rabbits. And learn all about how much a rabbit can both humans and rabbits can thrive. Learn about things to consider for habitat, feeding options, breeding considerations, and many other gifts this wonderful animal can offer.

Coffee, tea, and light refreshments provided

Knitting Together

What does it mean to cast on, knit, and purl? Wouldn’t it be fun to learn with a supportive group of folks in an environment surrounded by chickens, ducks, and rabbits? Along with some homemade refreshments (baked goods, coffee, tea)? And for those who already do know how to knit, would it be fun to knit with others and connect?

Come join us for a workshop on learning how to knit (or continue your knitting!) on Sunday, July 16th at 2:00PM . Bring your own projects already in progress or purchase a beginner’s kit (Cowl or quick and easy fingerless gloves) to start.
